Maths White Board

The Maths White Board is your tool to support you with classroom teaching. The software contains an ever increasing Maths question bank that you can utilise to generate templates for modelling, consolidation exercises, recall exercises, worksheets or mini whiteboard exercises. Every part of the software has stemmed from solid research findings (more info below).

Finding a good worksheet to meet your needs is sometimes hard. Some worksheets have too many easy questions and some have to few of the goods. This generally leads to you having to do a lot of editing. This is why I have put you in control of designing your own worksheets using the WorkSheet Generator. You choose your topics, you choose how hard they are and you choose how many you want. It really is that simple. Find out more below.

Utilising everything I learnt from generating an app called "Pencil Box", we now have Class Share. The software has been designed to work on all devices and comprises of a full-suite of tools to support you whilst teaching. The site includes a powerful sharing facility (for MWB, BWB and LWB) where staff can share their screen with students and vice versa in a safe learning environment.

If what you are looking for is a simple to use scribble pad, then we have the Blank White Board. It utilises the same drawing kit found in the Maths White Board with a ton more features. The only thing it lacks is the Maths question bank, but who is not to say that it couldn't come from another website using the web tool.

Utilising the same AFL system built into "Class Share", you can now turn any device into an AFL responder via Class Pads. Simply initiate user key pads with either "True or false", "ABCD" or "RAG" response options and clearly see what students answer with. This can be used adhoc alongside any pre-existing PowerPoint or spontaneous question you may have.

Sometimes all we really need is an easy way of recapping topics with students to help build confidence to recall techniques. The Last lesson, Last week, Last topic, Last term (LWB) tool harnesses the question bank from the MWB website and provides 4 separate topics on a single page. Within each topic you can differentiate the questions using the on-screen options.

It is so important to practice a range of different topics over time to help with memory retention. That's why I have put together a Revision Starter Board generator and some pre-made packs. Each pack can be produced to suit the ability of your group by choosing a specific difficulty level and can always be made more difficult throughout the week that you may be delivering it in.
