About me

My name is Matt Woodfine. I am a Lead Practitioner of Mathematics currently working at Hinchingbrooke School. I have been working in the classroom since 2006. I have worked in 3 different schools holding a range of positions from ICT coordinator to Subject Leader of Mathematics. In 2016, I set up Mr W's Lab Ltd as a way of independently working on projects that would both help me in and out of the classroom. As a result my first successful app came in the form of Pencil Box; a drawing app that could be used in the classroom as a replacement to more conventional mini whiteboards. As technology has evolved over time, this project has transformed into the Maths White Board/Blank White Board project. The site has been fully designed, written and is maintained by me. As a director of the company, I take great pride in the services that the company provides and continue to pursue excellence in developing teaching and learning. In 2018 I won a silver Pearson National Teaching Award for outstanding use of technology in education.
